Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Hafy homeowner app and the Hafy Business provider app (together, the "Services"), operated by Hafy ("we," "us"). By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms.

Who can use Hafy

You must be able to form a legally binding contract to create an account. Providers must complete identity and credential verification before their profile can receive or send job offers.

How bookings work

Homeowners submit job requests to a specific provider. A provider that responds with a callout fee is agreeing to visit and assess the job for that fee. Once a homeowner accepts an offer, payment for the callout fee is held in escrow until released under these Terms. After an on-site visit, the provider may submit an itemized quote for the work; the homeowner may accept or decline that quote. Accepting a quote authorizes payment for that amount, held in escrow alongside the callout fee, both released to the provider once the homeowner confirms the job is complete.

Cancellations and refunds

A provider may cancel before visiting a job for a full refund of the callout fee. If a homeowner declines a submitted quote, the provider retains the callout fee already paid for the assessment visit. Disputes about the quality or scope of completed work should be raised through in-app messaging in the first instance, and may be escalated to support@hafy.app if unresolved.

Conduct

Users agree to communicate respectfully, provide accurate information about jobs and qualifications, and not use the Services for any unlawful purpose. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose a safety risk to other users.

Payments

Payments are processed through a third-party payment provider. You authorize us to charge your selected payment method for amounts you approve within the Services.

Disclaimers

Hafy is a platform that connects homeowners and independent service providers; providers are not employees or agents of Hafy. The Services are provided "as is," and we do not guarantee the quality of work performed by any provider, though we do review verification documents and monitor reviews as part of our trust and safety process.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hafy is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services or from work performed by a provider.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
